I make my plushies using blanket yarn or chenille yarn. These types of yarns tend to be made out of polyester.
The plushies are stuffed with Polyfill Fiberfill which is 100% polyester.
My wearables are sometimes made out of wool blends.
Plastic Safety eyes (small parts) are used in a majority of my plushies. These small parts can pose a choking hazard which is why these saftey eye plushies are not recommended for children under 3 years old.
I do make plushies with embroidered or felt eyes and those would be a safer option for children under 3.
If plushie is stuffed: Spot clean with warm soapy water. Air Dry.
If plushie is not stuffed: Cold wash setting, low heat dry.
As a rule of thumb, I don't recommend washing any stuffed plushie that is bigger than palm-sized. The reason for that being that there is no way to know or ensure that the center of the plushie is fully dry. So, spot cleaning is highly recommended for stuffed plushies.
Yes, I do. I am always making new things! I probably make at least one new thing a day. It is my favorite thing to do! I also became a fast crocheter because I am impatient and want to see the final product asap!
I always make things that bring me joy! I believe that handmade items should be made with positivity. So if I make too many of one thing I'll start to get bored and won't have fun! There are exceptions for some projects that are fun for me to make and I end up making more than I bargained for!
